Ingredients
For the Spicy Chickpeas:

15 oz chickpeas, drained and rinsed

smoked paprika

chili powder

cumin

of cayenne pepper

Salt and pepper to taste
For the Tacos:

small corn or flour tortillas

avocado
sliced or mashed
½
red onion
finely diced
Fresh cilantro
chopped (¼ cup)

lime
cut into wedges

sour cream or vegan alternative

Instructions
Step 1: Prep Chickpeas
Drain, rinse, and pat chickpeas dry.
Step 2: Cook Chickpeas
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add chickpeas and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Step 3: Add Spices
Add smoked paprika, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, cayenne, salt, and pepper. Stir to coat and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
Step 4: Warm Tortillas
Warm tortillas in a skillet or over an open flame for a few seconds on each side.
Step 5: Assemble Tacos
Fill each tortilla with spiced chickpeas. Top with avocado, red onion, cilantro, and lime. Add sour cream if desired.
Notes
Adjust Spice Level:
Modify cayenne for more or less heat.
Gluten-Free Option:
Use corn tortillas.
Storage:
Store leftover chickpeas in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
