Ingredients

  • 12 oz bowtie pasta or any pasta
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 ½ cups heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 12 oz smoked sausage turkey or pork, sliced
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes optional

Instructions

  • Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute).
  • Pour in heavy cream. Season with salt and pepper. Stir continuously for 5–7 minutes until sauce begins to thicken.
  • Stir in grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  • Add red pepper flakes (if using) and the sliced smoked sausage. Heat for 2–3 minutes until sausage is warmed through.
  • Add the cooked pasta to the skillet. Toss everything until pasta is evenly coated with sauce.
  • Serve hot, garnished with additional Parmesan and red pepper flakes if desired.

Notes

  • Use freshly grated Parmesan for a smoother, richer sauce.
  • Want more spice? Try spicy Italian sausage or extra pepper flakes.
  • Add-ins like spinach, blackened chicken, or mushrooms can make this dish even heartier.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat with a splash of cream or milk.
