Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets 6-8 oz each
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Prep the Salmon:

  • Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel. Season generously with salt and pepper on both sides.

Make the Sauce:

  • In a small bowl, whisk together honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, and lemon juice.

Sear the Salmon:

  • Heat butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down (if applicable) and sear for 3-4 minutes. Carefully flip and sear the other side for 2 minutes.

Add the Sauce:

  • Pour the honey garlic sauce into the skillet, letting it bubble and thicken slightly as it coats the salmon.

Bake to Finish:

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F. Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 5-7 minutes until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. Optional: Broil for the last 1-2 minutes for crispy edges.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, garnish with fresh parsley, sesame seeds, or a sprinkle of chili flakes.
  • Use wild-caught salmon for the best texture and taste.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven at 300°F for the best results.
