- 2 lbs sirloin steak cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 sweet onion diced
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 1 cup unsalted beef stock
- 1 packet au jus gravy mix
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter sliced
Prepare the Steak Bites: Cut the steak into bite-sized cubes and season with salt and pepper. Toss to coat evenly.
Sear the Steak (Optional): Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steak bites in batches until browned, then transfer to the slow cooker.
Add Ingredients: Add diced onion and minced garlic to the slow cooker. Pour in beef stock and sprinkle au jus mix evenly over the top. Lay slices of butter over the steak.
Slow Cook: Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours. Stir occasionally if possible.
