Ingredients
  

  • 5 ½ to 6 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 2 packets 4 ½ tsp instant yeast
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 ½ cups water
  • ½ cup milk
  • 2 tbsp butter

Instructions
 

  • In a large bowl, mix 2 cups flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
  • Heat water, milk, and butter until warm (120°F-130°F).
  • Pour liquid into dry ingredients and mix well.
  • Gradually add remaining flour, mixing until dough forms a soft ball.
  • Knead dough on a floured surface for 6-8 minutes until smooth.
  • Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rest for 10 minutes.
  • Divide into two loaves, roll, and place in greased loaf pans.
  • Cover and let rise for 45 minutes until doubled in size.
  • Bake at 400°F for 20-30 minutes until golden brown.
