Ingredients

  • 3 large russet potatoes cut into fries
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder optional
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika optional

Instructions

  • Slice russet potatoes into fries using a sharp knife or mandoline.
  • Soak fries in cold water for at least 30 minutes, then drain and pat dry.
  • Preheat air fryer to 375°F.
  • Toss fries with olive oil, salt, pepper, and any extra seasonings.
  • Spread fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  • Air fry for 13 to 15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  • Check for a crispy texture. If needed, cook 2 to 3 minutes longer.
  • Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

For extra crispiness, soak fries for up to an hour. Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket. Keep cooked fries warm in a 200°F oven while making additional batches.
