Total Time 1 hour hr 5 minutes mins
- 2 cups cottage cheese
- 1 8 oz tub Cool Whip, thawed
- 1 small box 3 oz strawberry or orange Jello powder (dry, not prepared)
- 1 can 20 oz crushed pineapple, drained
- Optional Add-ins:
- 1 cup mini marshmallows
- ½ cup chopped pecans or walnuts
- ½ cup sliced fresh strawberries or mandarin oranges
Mix the base – In a large mixing bowl, combine the cottage cheese, drained crushed pineapple, and dry Jello powder. Stir until well combined.
Fold in Cool Whip – Gently fold in the Cool Whip until the mixture becomes light and fluffy. Avoid overmixing to keep the texture airy.
Chill – Transfer the mixture to a serving dish, cover it, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (or overnight for the best texture).
Serve & enjoy – Scoop onto plates, serve in dessert cups, or eat straight from the bowl!
- Drain pineapple well to prevent the salad from becoming too watery.
- Try different Jello flavors like raspberry, cherry, or lime for variety.
- Best served chilled and eaten within 1-2 days for the freshest taste.
- For a richer texture, use homemade whipped cream instead of Cool Whip.
