Ingredients
  

  • 1 ½ cups cottage cheese full-fat recommended
  • 1 ½ cups self-rising flour
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine cottage cheese and self-rising flour. Stir until a dough forms. If sticky, lightly flour your hands and knead.
  • Transfer the dough onto the prepared baking sheet. Use a rolling pin to shape it into a rectangle about ½ inch thick.
  • If using, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top for extra flavor.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and firm.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing. Enjoy warm or at room temperature!

Notes

  • Full-fat cottage cheese gives the best texture, but low-fat can work.
  • If you don’t have self-rising flour, use 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour + 1 ½ tsp baking powder + ¼ tsp salt.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to 2 days at room temperature or refrigerate for up to a week.
